President Barack Obama delivered his State of the Union address on Tuesday, Jan. 20. This was Obama’s sixth SOTU of his presidency. He discussed middle-class jobs, women’s rights, and education. “The shadow of crisis has passed,” Obama said. (CBS).

Protesters interrupted the Supreme Court on Wednesday, Jan. 21, shouting “We are the 99 percent” as Chief Justice John Roberts opened the Court. Seven protesters were dismissed. (CNN).

International:

Mexican authorities said that a drone filled with methamphetamine crashed into a parking lot on Wednesday, Jan. 21. The crash occurred in Tijuana, Mexico near the California border. (ABC).

Two Belgian suspected Islamic militants were killed and identified on Wednesday, Jan. 21 in Brussels after a shootout and subsequent police raid in Verviers. (The New York Times).
