Women’s golf team competes in Lady Pirate Intercollegiate

The women’s golf team traveled to North Carolina Sept. 28-29 to participate in East Carolina’s Lady Pirate Intercollegiate. After the first day of play, the Orange and Blue were in 17th place with team scores of 330 and 324. After the second day of play, the Bison pushed through heavy rain to secure a score of 325, placing them 16th overall to finish.

After the first two rounds on Sept. 28, Lindsay Dodovich ’18 and Emily Larson ’17 led the way for the Bison, with scores of 78-77 and 79-77, respectively. All five Bison improved their scores from the first to second round. Jen Lee ’16 carded 86-84, Graysen Bright ’19 87-86, and Katie Childers ’19 shot 90-86.

The second day of play brought some tough weather conditions, but Larson managed to lead the way for the Bison with a 78. Dodovich followed with an 80 for the day. Lee scored an 82, and Childers finished with a 90 for the day. Bright finished with an 85 after making three birdies on the front nine. Overall, the Bison finished in 16th place.

The Bison will hit the road again on Oct. 3-4 to compete in the Princeton Invitational.
