Chapter Updates 4/1/16

Alpha Chi Omega – Alpha Male raised over $3,000 for transitions. Our Nationals Consultant was here March 31-April 5 and our recruitment event “Keepin it Cool with Alpha Chi” is April 10.

Alpha Delta Pi – Alpha Delta Pi initiated three new members this past week. We had a Leadership Consultant from Nationals visit, and we are looking forward to Pizza Phi with ADPi and Preppy Games coming up later this month.

Alpha Xi Delta – We are doing Amaxing Race for our spring philanthropy event on April 24. April is Autism Awareness month, so we will be putting up posters and making things light blue for Autism Awareness. We are also participating in an Autism Speaks Walk in Bethlehem, Pa. on April 16. Our team goal was to raise $5,000 and we have raised $6,088. We hope to raise even more in the coming days of the walk. We had an ELC from Nationals visit in the beginning of March. Our signature recruitment event was April 7.

Chi Omega – Cookie Dough with Chi O was April 4. Kickin’ it with Chi O is on April 10 at 12 p.m. at the Intramural Fields. People can sign up in teams of five ($10 per person) and proceeds go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Delta Gamma – Delta Gamma held a puppy cuddle booth on March 2 to support Susquehanna Service Dogs and Anchor Splash. The event was extremely successful with $463.27 raised overall. DG held an extremely successful Anchor Splash on March 24. Proceeds benefited Service for Sight and all the teams had awesome routines and spirit. The Epsilon Beta chapter celebrated Founders Day on March 5 and was joined by six University Delta Gamma alumni from the class of 1994. On April 3, Delta Gamma hosted Desserts with DG.

Kappa Kappa Gamma – Our annual Ice Cream Social was April 3. Our annual philanthropy event, Kappa Kisses, was a huge success and raised over $500 for Reading Is Fundamental, our biggest donation from Kappa Kisses yet. We’re so proud of our sisters and can’t wait to see what KKG will accomplish next.

Kappa Alpha Theta – We were excited to meet all of the PNMs at our recruitment event, K-A-Tea Party on March 28. We will also be volunteering at Chi Phi’s Special Olympics event on April 10 and are busy getting ready for our own philanthropy events later in April. A portion of the profits from Panera on April 13, Sweet Frog on April 14, and Mercado Burrito on April 16 will go to our philanthropy, CASA.
