Senior couple ‘really hopeful’ about their last-month-of-school romance

After several rounds of Long Island Iced Teas on Thursday night, Chris Phillipe ’17 and Sarah Fitz ’17 decided to exclusively date one another for the remainder of senior year. Having met two Thursdays before, this seemed like a curveball to many of their friends. Phillipe’s good friend Sam Schipper ’17 noted the last-ditch effort.

“I don’t really see it working out. Chris just took a job offer in Los Angeles and Sarah is working in Manhattan,” Schipper said.

“Sarah has been looking for a boyfriend for awhile now,” Fitz’s friend Anna Esposito ’18 said.

The couple vehemently denied that dating each other is a rushed judgment decision, saying that they spent at least three karaoke songs (“Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Fergalicious,” and “I Write Sins Not Tragedies”) thinking about the implications of entering into a serious relationship with one month of school left. Phillipe and Fitz said that they are “really hopeful about the relationship” and that “only good things are to come.”
