After assisting Bison Field Hockey in their 2-1 victory over Boston University, Lily Neilson ’25 has been named not only Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week but also Bison of the Week.
The Australian contributed both goals in the game against Boston University. This game was big for the team as they have not won a match against the Terriers since 2014. Neilson scored the first goal of the game from either team. The Terriers then managed to tie it up, but Neilson was able to knock the ball in off a penalty corner to secure the win for the Bison.
She now sits at third in program history with 47 goals and third in career points with 99. She has been named Patriot League Player of the Week now seven times in her career, getting the accolade four times during her junior season. The Patriot League record is 10, held by a former Lafayette player.
