The Orange and Blue Women’s tennis team swept doubles play and dominated in singles play to win 4-1 over Lafayette. Now, the Bison stand 3-4 in Patriot League play, 10-10 overall record. Whitney King ’25 now stands tie for third in Bucknell history for her 80 doubles wins. W. King and Abby Platt ’26 started the day off strong with a 6-2 win. Caroline Marcus ’25 and Riley Jennings ’28 followed suit, defeating their Leopard counterparts with a score of 6-2. Cameron King ’28 and Jaycie Mair ’27 wrapped up doubles play with a strong score of 6-4. Moving to singles play, Platt dominated, stealing the win with scores of 6-0 and 6-1. Mair acted the same, defeating her match 6-3, 6-2. Jennings tallied up more points with scores of 6-1, 6-1. W. King battled with her opponent, ultimately earning the dub in the third set. Finally, Tori Allen ’27 closed out the day with scores of 7-5, 6-1. This was an exciting series of matches that proved the Bison are strong and eager to win. The Bison began competing in the Patriot League Tournament on Friday, April 25.
