Fantasy Corner

Start For The Playoffs:

Mark Ingram, RB (NO): Ingram has become the number one back for the Saints down the stretch, tallying 24 fantasy points over his last three games. In week 13, Ingram had 122 rushing yards against Pittsburgh. With the NFC South up for grabs, look for the Saints to go to Ingram to take pressure off Drew Brees.

T.Y. Hilton, WR (IND): Hilton has become Andrew Luck’s number one receiver this season. Hilton has tallied over 10 fantasy points consistently this season and continued his dominance with 62 yards and one TD in week 13. With the Colts in the playoff hunt, look for Luck to target his favorite receiver often.

Le’Veon Bell, RB (PIT): Although Bell has underperformed for most of the year, he is catching fire as of late. The Steelers have looked to Bell often down the stretch as the playoff race heats up, and he has delivered. Bell had 95 rushing yards, one TD, and an impressive 159 receiving yards in week 13, good for 30 fantasy points.

Bench For The Playoffs:

Frank Gore, RB (SF): Although Gore has been a solid back all season, the Niners have now turned more to Colin Kaepernick for offensive production. Additionally, Gore only has two rushing touchdowns for the season, and he has seen a significant decrease in touches as the season is nearing its end.

Matt Forte, RB (CHI): Although it is tempting to have Forte in your starting lineup, it isn’t worth it. The Bears rank 26th in the NFL in rushing yards, so don’t expect Forte to see an increase in touches, especially with the Bears out of the playoff picture. In week 13, Forte only had five fantasy points.

Larry Donnell, TE (NYG): Donnell didn’t live up to fantasy owners’ expectations at all after his breakout performance against Washington earlier in the season. Donnell has struggled mightily since then, just like the Giants’ offense. Donnell has also seen his number of targets decrease significantly ever since Odell Beckham, Jr. captured the spotlight.
