Lindsay Dodovich ’18 was named the Corvias Patriot League Golfer of the Month for September in honor of her impressive season.

Dodovich earned the award after incredibly strong showings throughout the month. In the Bucknell Invitational, Dodovich posted scores of 72 and 77 to earn her first collegiate victory by three strokes. This made her the first Bison to win an event since October of 2010. Dodovich’s individual performance also helped the Bison to their fourth team win in program history at the Bucknell Invitational.

Dodovich also finished 23rd in the Nittany Lion Invitational, posting scores of 76-80-76 during her three rounds, and 52nd in the Navy Fall Invitational with 82-83 to cap off a great month. Other highlights from Dodovich’s season include holding the team-best scoring average of 78.1 for the season.

Upon receiving the honor, an ecstatic Dodovich felt grateful despite her stiff competition. “Being the Patriot League Golfer of the Month is an incredible honor, and I was so shocked when I found out that I got it because there are so many incredible players in the league,” said Dodovich.

Dodovich is not resting on her laurels, however, she has big expectations for the team going forward. Despite this accolade, she remains focused on the season ahead of her and the work that she and her teammates must complete in order to achieve success in the Patriot League Championships. “This year’s team is very talented, and I strongly believe that we have a really good chance to win the Patriot League Championship in the spring, which is our ultimate goal,” Dodovich said.

Dodovich will return to action as the Bison take on their final fall tournament on Oct. 23-24 at the Lehigh Invitational.
