They have had consecutive double-digit shutouts and have also allowed the fewest number of goals in the patriot league. Goalie, Jessica Ratner ‘17, had her twenty-third shutout and twenty-eighth win of the regular season with two saves. She is the first Bison to be named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year accolades.
“Going into the game, we knew a win would clinch the 1 seed in the tournament. We anticipated a tough game because Army was fighting for a spot in the tournament. Although it wasn’t one of our better played games this season, we came out on top. We look forward to hosting this weekend and hope to put together a full 90 minutes,” stated Ham about Saturday’s game.
This is the Bison’s fifth regular season title in history and they will host the Patriot League Tournament for the first time in nine years. They previously hosted the tournament in 1995, 2006, and 2007. The Bison get a quarterfinal bye and will continue on in the tournament this Friday, November 4.
