Men’s Golf competed in the Wildcat Spring Invitational at LuLu Country Club in Glenside, Pa. The Bison competed against 14 other squads including Patriot League foes Lafayette, Lehigh, Holy Cross and Colgate.

Bucknell sat in fourth place after a round-one team total of 287, or +7. Michael Rudnick ’25 was the low Bison after a round-one 69, followed by Blake Wisdom ’23 who carded a 71 in the first round.

Wisdom logged a back nine 33 after a tough 42 on the front nine to finish with a 75 on day two and land a T23 individual finish for the tournament. It was Jackson Bussell ’23 leading the charge for the Bison on day two with a 70, leaping into a T13 finish on the individual leaderboard and making him the low Bison for the tournament.

The freshmen showed up to play on day two, as James Key ’26 logged a 74 on both days, and James Robbins ’26 carded a 72 in the second round after struggling in the first round with a 78, good for a T32 and T46 individual finish respectively.

Bucknell shot 292, or +12, on day two, keeping them in fourth place after the event behind host Villanova, La Salle and Lehigh.

“I felt like I hit the ball well all day and made sure to not put myself in any tough positions that could lead to a high number,” Rudnick said. “The course reminded me of the one I caddy at back home so I felt pretty comfortable out there.”

It’s been a very consistent season for Bucknell Men’s Golf so far, with only four team finishes outside the top 10.

They head Fox Chapel, Pa. next to compete in the RedHawk Intercollegiate on April 17.
