Jack Hartman ʼ28, member of Bison Men’s Golf, was named Bison of the Week after an impressive athletic performance at the Patriot League Championship. Hartman finished the competition with even-par over 54 holes. Hartman also snagged First Team All-Patriot League honors with a T-4th finish and was voted Patriot League Rookie of the Year.
During the championship this weekend at the Bucknell Golf Club, Hartman’s skills were put to the test as windy conditions picked up in the final two rounds. However, Hartman persevered and shot 69-71-70 for a 210 total. This put him only two shots behind Holy Cross and Lafayette players.
On Sunday, Hartman’s birdie on the 18th hole was what gave the Bison the final push to catch Colgate and share the fourth-place spot in the team standings.
This championship gave Hartman a strong end to his debut season as he consistently led his team with a 73.4 scoring average. Just this spring, he played five under-par rounds and recorded four top-10 finishes. This includes his T-2nd at the Red Flash Invitational in October.
