The Orange and Blue had a fantastic season closer for the spring as they posted a runner-up finish at the Patriot League Championships from Friday, April 17, to the following Sunday. The team totaled a score of 907 across the three rounds to tie for the program’s best performance in a League Championship.
Paige Richter ’26 headlined the Bison by placing second individually with a total score of 223, and Nicole Yun ’27 and Sophia Bardunias ’28 also placed top-five finishes to earn All-Tournament honors.
The Bison showed up and out on the first day, taking a quick charge to tie for the lead with the home team Navy. Bardunias and Richter had scored stellar 74s to sit second on the leaderboard together.
Yun and Katherine Vice ’27 sat fifth at the end of the round with matching 75s, and Lila Smith ’27 and Joelle Johnson ’29 scored a 78 and 81, respectively. The team total was 298, the program’s second lowest round performance at a championship.
In the second round, the Bison continued their momentum to keep their hold on second. Richter led the Bison again individually with a three-over 75; Yun and Bardunias remained in the top five, still carding a four-over 76 and six-over 78, respectively. Johnson shot a seven-over 79, and Smith finished the round with an 80. Vice closed out the team with an individual 82 from the second day. The team totaled 308 and 606 over the two days.
The final round took place on Sunday, where the team wrapped up the weekend with a runner-up finish behind Navy.
Richter’s 223 total tied her as the Patriot League runner-up, which earned her Bison of the Week honors– a great way to wrap up her collegiate career. Yun finished fourth overall with a 224, followed by Bardunias in fifth, who posted a 226 total.
Yun and Richter earned Patriot League Second-Team honors, and Bardunias notched First-Team laureates. Johnson sealed the Patriot League Rookie of the Year award, and Head Coach Laura Tyler-Cook was named Coach of the Year.
This concludes the season for the Orange and Blue, they will now settle their eyes on the 2026 fall season.
