Americans are following along closely as the trial of former police officer Derek Chauvin continues to unfold after the actions that took place last May during the arrest of George Floyd. Prosecution witnesses testified that Chauvin’s restraint of Floyd did not follow standard police tactics.

U.S. President Joe Biden moved his target date up for vaccine eligibility by two weeks. The deadline for every state to make every American adult eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine is now set for April 19.

Recent news of secret dinner parties for the elite has set off outrage across the country, as France undergoes yet another lockdown. The report of the secret dinner parties relies on hidden camera footage, and one dinner organizer had said several French ministers have attended the illegal parties, before backtracking his statement. 

More than 1,800 prisoners were broken out of a jail in Nigeria, with gunmen bearing machine guns and grenades aiding all the prisoners in their escape. Nigerian authorities blame the jailbreak on a rebel group in the southeastern corner of Nigeria, known as Biafra, where they have been promoting the secession for decades.
