At the Village Glen Tennis Courts, the Bison shut out Niagara 7-0. This is the Orange and Blue’s second win this season. The Bison blanked St. Bonaventure in 2020 and Wagner and La Salle in 2020.
Captain Daniela Bellini ’22 was a major contributor to the team’s success, earning a 6-4,6-3 victory over her opponent, a 2021 All-MAAC performer, at first singles. Another All-MAAC honoree fell to Bison Tyne Miller ’24 at third singles by a 6-1, 6-1 score.
Rookie Whitney King ’25 won second singles with a margin of 6-3, 6-2 which added to her 10-1 record. Anna Lajos ’25 remained unbeaten, with a 7-0 record. Lajos was victorious this weekend in the fifth singles 6-2, 6-2.

The Bison’s impressive showing at Niagara was unfortunately followed by a loss against undefeated Buffalo, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon. Utterback was triumphant in the fourth singles with scores of 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.
Despite the loss in the singles, the Bison were winners of all three doubles matches. At first doubles, Bellini and King moved to an 11-1 of the year record after a 6-3 win over two All-MAC honoree opponents. The second and third doubles both earned 7-5 results.
