Captain Nick Crovatto ’22 spoke on the team’s success so far. “We have a very tight team this year and everyone played well on Saturday. We are excited to be 3-0 but are not satisfied. We want to keep our momentum going into this weekend and into league play,” Crovatto said. “Just taking it one game at a time.”

Crovato was one of three Bison to earn Patriot League weekly honors for Saturday’s performance. Crovatto was named Faceoff Specialist of the Week for the second time this season. Crovatto won 18 of 22 faceoffs on the day and scooped up 14 ground balls. Two of the faceoffs Crovatto won led to assists on Davis’ goals. Higgins earned the first Patriot League weekly nod of his career as Defensive Player of the Week with three caused turnovers. Davis rounded out the Orange and Blue’s weekly awards by being named Rookie of the Week for not only the third straight weekly, but also breaking the Patriot League record.

The Bison are back in action this Saturday where they will face Marist at 12 p.m. in Poughkeepsie, New York. The Orange and Blue hope to continue their strong out of conference performance against a 1-2 Marist squad picked to come in second in the MAAC.
