It was another successful weekend for the Bison runners this past weekend at the Siena Invitational in New York. The women’s team finished in second place with 94 points, behind Quinnipiac (49). Ally Clarke ‘24 secured 10th place, finishing 5000 meters with a time of 18:35.0.

Clarke reflected on the race and the team’s accomplishments. “It was a really good stepping stone for the team, we were happy to come in second! Our team is really deep this year which means we can really rely on each other and work on pack running during races, which is exciting,.” Clarke said. Caryn Rippey ‘26 and Abby Paczewski ‘24, both top three runners the previous week along with Clarke, followed her lead in securing 15th and 17th place finishes.

Looking ahead, Clarke expressed, “we have a big meet up in Boston in two weeks and are excited to see how we stack up against some stronger competition after two intense training weeks!”

The men’s team performed well too, finishing in fourth place out of fourteen teams. Sam Whittaker ‘23, the first place finisher at the Bison Invitational, won third place on this 8000 meter course, a close eight seconds behind the lead and three seconds behind the runner up. Joining Whittaker in scoring and being in the top 30 were Ben Santos ‘25, Bobby Lynam ‘25, Trent Dinant ‘26, and Grayson Crockett ‘25.

Both teams will show again at the Boston College Invitational in two weeks.
