After a big win against VMI, Bison wide receiver Damian Harris ’24 was named Bison of the Week. Harris led the Bison with eight receptions, 101 yards and a touchdown in last Saturday’s game.
Six of his eight receptions went for 10 yards or more, including his first reception of the day which was an 18-yard touchdown, giving the Bison a 7-0 lead on their second drive. In the final quarter of the game, Harris added three more receptions, totaling 51 yards in four plays.
Harris set personal records in both catches and receiving yards and brought in his second career touchdown. He is also the first Bison to record 100 receiving yards in a single game since Dominic Lyles in the 2021 season.
This marks Harris’ third season as a starting wide receiver, already racking in 11 receptions for a total of 162 yards. Harris also shined in the Bison’s season opener against James Madison University, where he had an impressive 32-yard catch.
Overall, Harris has had 60 catches and 707 yards in his career. Harris has also been named Honorable Mention for Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week.
