Karen Hull ’24, a jumper for Track and Field, has been named this week’s Bison of the Week following her performance at the Colonial Relays at William & Mary, where she played a massive role in securing her team the victory at the event.
This is Hull’s third Bison of the Week honors in 2023-24 and fourth of her career at Bucknell.
Hull dominated the Colonial Relays, collecting 22.5 points to win Meet MVP while also reeling in 20 field points to grab Field MVP as well.
She won the high jump and long jump, came in 7th in the 4x100m relay and also finished 7th in the 100m hurdles.
“(My teammates) fuel me to be the best I can be and my coach’s belief in me is unbelievable. Also this was my last away meet with my people so I had to give it my all,” Hull said.
She took gold in the high jump with a leap of 5′-8″, seeding her for NCAAs and almost breaking her own school record.
She won the long jump with a mark of 19′-2 ¼” to bring home ten points for Bucknell as she did in the high jump. This marked Hull’s 28th career event win, and 8th school record at Bucknell.
The 4x100m relay team that Hull anchored came in with a time of 48.00 and she finished with a time of 14.58 in the 100m hurdles, earning 7th place in both events.
Hull and the rest of the team stay home this weekend as Bucknell hosts the Bison Outdoor Classic.
