Bison Volleyball collected two big wins this past weekend against Patriot League competitors Lehigh and Lafayette. The Orange and Blue were led by setter Caleigh O’Connell ’26, who has been named this week’s Bison of the Week.
O’Connell has earned this title after combining for 88 assists and seven points over two games this past weekend. Against Lafayette, the team won three straight sets and O’Connell set at a .506 clip. Against Lehigh, O’Connell helped out on the defensive end by tallying 22 digs, a career-high for her, and adding four kills as well. The Bison won in four sets.
Across the Patriot League, O’Connell leads in assists per game at 9.17 and holds the record for single-game assists in a five-game span.
O’Connell and the rest of the Bison are hot on a 12 game winning streak. They now hold a 12-1 record and are 4-0 in conference play, one of the best conference records the team has had since 2003.
Catch O’Connell and the rest of the Orange and Blue this weekend as they take on American on Saturday, Oct. 4 and Navy on Sunday, Oct. 5.
