Ard’s Farm
One of the quintessential fall experiences in our region is visiting Ard’s Farm. Located just a short drive from campus at 4803 Old Turnpike Rd. in Lewisburg, this family-friendly destination offers a wide array of activities perfect for the season. Visitors can enjoy pumpkin picking in the expansive pumpkin patch, embark on hayrides and navigate the corn maze. The corn maze and pumpkin patch are open at the following times:
- Fridays: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturdays: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Sundays: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For those eager to explore the maze, be sure to arrive at least 45 minutes before closing time, as the last ticket entry will be at that time. The corn maze season will run through November, giving you plenty of opportunities to get lost among the stalks and enjoy this beloved autumn pastime.
Lewisburg Fall Festival
Mark your calendars for the Lewisburg Fall Festival happening Saturday, Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Hufnagle Park. This annual celebration is the perfect way to dive into the spirit of the season. Attendees can look forward to food and craft vendors, live music and the chance to take a selfie with the event’s mascot, the Woolly Worm.
Bucknell students are encouraged to participate by volunteering at the Lewisburg Children’s Museum booth, where they’ll be “making music with pumpkins.” This interactive experience is sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike.
Halloween Party at Uptown
Get ready for a spooktacular night! On Friday, Oct. 18 at 8 p.m., the Literary Studies Club will host a Halloween party at Uptown. Dress up in your best costume for a chance to win the costume contest. Enjoy Halloween-themed food and drinks while mingling with fellow students in a festive atmosphere. Knoebels Hallo-Fun Weekends
For those seeking thrills, Knoebels is hosting its Hallo-Fun Weekends every weekend from now until the end of October. This beloved amusement park transforms into a fall wonderland with scary rides, fall-inspired menus and spooky decorations.
Highlights include:
- Seasonally themed rides like the “Haunted Antique Cars” and the “Haunted Pioneer Train”
- Over 50 rides open
- Pumpkin painting opportunities

Fall Wheel & Wine Event at Fero Vineyards

Taking place on Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 6-8 p.m., this unique experience allows participants to create their own pottery while sipping on delicious wine.
