Bucknell Volleyball’s Tijana Kostic ’26 has been named this week’s Bison of the Week and Patriot League Player of the Week after helping her team extend its winning streak to 14 games and secure two wins this weekend against Patriot League competitors.
Kostic earned this title after combining for 33 points, 24 kills, 19 digs, six service aces, six blocks and two assists over two games this past weekend. Against Navy, Kostic secured a .550 hitting percentage with zero attack errors, as well as serving six aces. In the epic five-set victory against American, she finished second on the team with 13 kills, 12 digs and five blocks. The six aces boosted Kostic to number one overall in the Patriot League in aces and aces per set.
Nationally, Kostic ranks 36th in aces per set, fifth in points per set and 10th in kills per set.
Kostic thought her team communicated well with each other and succeeded at focusing on their side of the net and maintaining positive energy, which in turn secured them two wins. Kostic and the rest of the team are hot on their 14-game winning streak. They now hold a 14-1 record and are 6-0 in conference play, tied for the nation’s longest active winning streak.
