Ashley Sofilkanich’s ’27 historic performance not only earned her the Bison of the Week title but also the Patriot League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, becoming the first Bison since 2015-16 to earn Player of the Week four times in a season.
Sofilkanich led the Bison to a 2-0 week, scoring 66 points in two games. She shot 23-for-37 from the court and 20-for-25 from the free throw line, delivered 11 assists and collected 18 rebounds, 11 of which were against Colgate. These impressive stats earned Sofilkanich her 12th career double-double.
Against Colgate, she scored an impressive, record-tying 44 points, delivering at the end by scoring 25 in the fourth quarter and overtime. Her 44 points tied Molly Creamer’s single-game record, and she set new records for Sojka Pavilion.
Sofilkanich produced 22 points against Boston University, the outstanding performance accompanied by an encore. She leads the conference in points per game with 20.2, which places her 19th nationally. She leads the conference in blocks per game with 2.4 by a significant margin of 0.9, remaining 10th nationally, and she is tied for 32nd nationally with eight double-doubles.
