Stavrakas aided the victory against the Knights, going 2-0 in both singles and doubles. Stavrakas and Oscar Bain Moreno de Vega ’26 won their doubles match, clinching the crucial doubles point for the Bison. Stavrakas won his No. 2 singles match 6-1, 6-3, helping the Orange and Blue win the match 4-1.
Stavrakas and Bain succeeded again in their doubles match against Fairfield that evening. Although this match was much closer, the Bison still prevailed and clinched the doubles point. Stavrakas defeated his No. 2 singles match competition 6-1, 6-2.
Stavrakas now possesses a team-high 15 singles match victories, with only three losses this season.
Stavrakas will compete again on Saturday, Feb. 8 when the Bison host Johns Hopkins and Rider.
