John Calabrese ʼ28 earned the honors of Patriot League Rookie of the Week and Bison of the Week.
Calabrese went 7-for-12 with five walks and four RBIs in doubleheaders against Holy Cross and Army. He reached base 13 out of 19 plate appearances, which extended his hitting streak to six games. The Bison swept Holy Cross and then fell to Army.
Calabrese made his collegiate debut on March 11 against Florida Atlantic with a pinch-hit RBI and another pinch-hit single in the series and has been a staple in the lineup ever since. He has driven in nine runs due to going 7-for-14 with runners in scoring position. Playing in 14 games and starting in 10 this season, he is 17-for-37 with a .459 batting average, .592 on-base percentage, .568 slugging percentage and 1.160 OPS.
