Brooke Popella ʼ27 earned the title of Bison Athlete of the Week after her performance in softball’s games against Lafayette in which the Bison won 2-0 and 8-2.
Popella took control over Lafayette’s pitching with a .700 batting average, going 7-for-10 with a double. She brought in four RBIs, three of which were in the doubleheader sweep on Sunday, going 5-for-6.
Popella leads the team with a .320 batting average, 32 hits, 21 RBIs, .440 slugging percentage and 44 total bases. She ranks 12th in RBIs and 13th in batting average in the Patriot League.
Popella and the rest of the Bison softball squad will be back on the field this weekend against Colgate.
