Who’s Hot

Kevin Love, PF (MIN): The Minnesota big man is the hottest player in the NBA right now, scoring more than 30 points in six of his last seven games and averaging 34.1 points in February. His first career triple-double against Utah is one example of the domination that Love has portrayed throughout the season.

Anthony Davis, PF/C (NOR): Davis leads the NBA in blocks per game with 3.0, half-a-block more than the next best blockers Serge Ibaka and Roy Hibbert. With more than 20 PPG and 10 RPG, he can be very effective in many areas. Additionally, Davis is shooting 54.5 percent from the field over the last 15 days.

Buy Low

Tony Wroten, PG/SG (PHI): Wroten filled in nicely earlier in the season and has shown stretches of high-scoring capabilities. With Spencer Hawes and Evan Turner gone, Wroten will immediately be slotted into the starting lineup at shooting guard, where he has a chance of scoring near 20 points per game.

Paul Pierce, SF/PF (BRK): Pierce has come alive over the past month with Brooklyn fighting for a playoff spot. Even with less than 27 MPG over the past 15 days, Pierce has averaged 15.3 PPG, 2.2 3PM, and 4.5 RPG over that span. Expect his output to stay constant as Brooklyn pushes for a higher seed.

Sell High

Spencer Hawes, C (CLE): The new Cleveland Cavaliers center has a well-below-average field goal percentage, and his poor efficiency has dipped to 33 percent in February. Although his scoring and rebounding numbers aren’t bad right now, they will take a major dip when Anderson Varejao returns from injury.

Patty Mills, PG (SA): Mills has been incredibly inconsistent lately, and that is directly related to injuries suffered by Tim Duncan, Kawhi Leonard, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili. When they are out, Mills will have high-scoring games (25, 29, 32). When they are all healthy, which will be soon, his scoring dive-bombs (4, 5, 6).

Sleepers

Danny Granger, SG/SF (PHI): Granger has had the worst season of his career in Indiana, and now with the 76ers, he’s voiced his displeasure to the Philadelphia staff. How can someone with that attitude succeed? It’s a longshot, but Granger has to produce strong numbers if he wants to earn the big money again.

Kirk Hinrich, PG/SG (CHI): For those in a deeper league or 16-team league, Hinrich is a quality low-end player to own. His consistency at the point is perfect for gaining some production. He is averaging near four rebounds per game, four assists per game, and 12 points per game over his last six games.
