Uptown trivia fosters friendly competition
April 11, 2014
Despite the cold and the rain, Trivia Night at Uptown on April 4 brought enthusiastic students together to win cold, hard cash.
Eight teams participated in trivia. Over the course of one hour, from 9 to 10 p.m., the teams competed while enjoying pigs-in-a-blanket and Bison Dip. Three teams emerged victorious, winning $50, $30, and $20 for first, second, and third place respectively.
Trivia topics vary from week to week, and any subject is fair game. Whether your specialty is about First Ladies, volcanic structures, or popular culture, Uptown Trivia Night has something for you.

Uptown Trivia Night is an occasional event. It does not happen “week to week” as the author reports in her piece.
Also:
“Over the course of one hour, from 9 to 10 p.m.,” – redundant much?
Lastly:
“Whether your specialty is about First Ladies,” – should be “Whether your specialty is First Ladies,…”. That about should not be in there…
I’m questioning the abilities of the copy editor here. This is possibly one of the shortest articles here and there are three major mistakes in here.
