Final Fifty contest to commemorate seniors’ final days on campus

In order to celebrate the seniors’ last weeks on campus, Emma Roehlke ’14 and Bucknell Student Government (BSG) are sponsoring a video contest called the Final Fifty Contest.

“The contest is to commemorate the last 50 days the seniors have here at Bucknell,” Roehlke said.

In order to enter the contest, seniors must first download the app Memento. Roehlke explains that on Memento, seniors can create a video about anything meaningful to them during their last days at the University—whether that includes friends, activities, or classes. Seniors can also use the app to share their videos with their friends.

All seniors can submit videos to the Final Fifty Contest. At the end of the contest, Roehlke and senior BSG executives will select the winning videos, and winners will be awarded with prizes of up to $200 in value. Roehlke then hopes to be able to share the videos with the senior class, possibly at the senior sunset toast.

“I personally love the idea, and I think [videos] are a great way way to keep memories alive and share the great experiences we had,”  Madison Stevens ’14 said.
