Activities and Campus Events (ACE) hosted a Fabulous 50s themed event on Jan. 23 in the Terrace Room of the ELC.

As the DJs spun the decks and kept the beat going, participants traveled back in time and spent a night in the fantastic 50s, with roller-skating, soda floats, and 50s-themed photos.  

Students put on leather jackets and poodle skirts for vintage photography in front of a classic car shop backdrop.

“I love the photo booth! It is my favorite part of the night!” Allan La ’18 said.

“I had a good time roller-skating for the first time,” Kanishka Suwal ’18 said.

Participants also tried their hands at the 50s slang crossword puzzle and the 1950s Timeline and Trivia, in which they were quizzed about things such as which Disney movie was released and which cartoon strip was created in the 1950s.  

The next event hosted by ACE will be the Double Header Entertainment, a show featuring comedian Corey Rodrigues and spoken word Artist G Yamazawa on Jan. 30 at 9:30 p.m. in the ELC Student Space.
