Select members of the men’s tennis team, including Nick Bybel ’16, Daniel Wright ’18, and Ben Gerber ’18, all attended the ITA Atlantic Regional at Virginia Tech, concluding play on Oct. 18.

Bybel received a bye in the first round before defeating a competitor from Virginia Tech in the second round 6-4, 7-5. In the third round, Bybel defeated a member of the VCU team in a close match 7-6 (4), 7-6 (4). In the 16th round Bybel’s run finally came to an end. He fell to a Penn State opponent 7-5, 6-3.

Meanwhile, Wright fell to a Richmond competitor 6-1, 7-6 (4). He then went on to win a consolation match over an Old Dominion player in 6-2, 6-1. Gerber lost his singles match to a Temple player.

In doubles play, Bybel and Gerber teamed up and won their first match in 8-3 against a duo from William and Mary. In the next round, the Bison were beaten by VCU.
