Why you accepted your role with the paper: I really loved writing for the paper throughout my freshman year, so it follows that I was eager to join the staff and become even more involved with The Bucknellian. It’s both a challenge and an enjoyment to manage the kinds of stories that compile the news section each week, and I feel so lucky to share that responsibility with Barbara.
Favorite part of the Newsroom: It’s the only place on campus where I can feel both chill and overwhelmed at the same time, and for whatever reason I love that weird in-between space. When I’m there with my fellow staff members, I feel like I’m such a small part of this huge thing, yet at the same time I feel important because it’s a thing that’s so meaningful to me.

Why you accepted your role with the paper: I love both writing and sports, so my role with the paper allows me to be creative with my writing, while also keeping up with the scores and supporting all of our Bison athletes!
Favorite part of the Newsroom: The newsroom is great because it’s such a fun atmosphere with music and food, and everyone just has a really great time talking and hanging out. We all work really hard on the paper, and we enjoy it so much that it makes production night tons of fun!

Why you accepted your role with the paper: I love having a role on campus that allows me to interact with so many students, faculty, and staff in a writing-based capacity. I enjoy reporting on news because I get to give a voice to so many organizations and events in the community.

Why you accepted your role with the paper: I wanted to better my eye in visual design in a short amount of time. This role actually is like a hardcore bootcamp for print design. I also got 10 times better at using InDesign as part of my workflow.
Favorite part of the Newsroom: The part where Doug gets bullied by his staff late at night and then plays his favorite song. It makes for some hilarious quotes for the semester.

Why you accepted your role with the paper: I have always been really interested in web and graphic design and was looking for a way to develop my skills in this area on campus. Luckily enough, I heard that there was an opening for this position and I immediately jumped right on it. Really glad I made that decision and am happy to be a part of the squad.
