Why you accepted your role with the paper: Having previously been the Campus Life Editor, I thought it would be an interesting, creative challenge to take on the Opinions section editor role.
Favorite part of the Newsroom: The Caf hooks us up with some amazing food every Wednesday night! I also enjoy listening in on all the Newsroom gossip.

Position on the Paper: Assistant News Editor
Why you accepted your role with the paper: I really loved writing for the paper throughout my freshman year, so it follows that I was eager to join the staff and become even more involved with The Bucknellian. It’s both a challenge and an enjoyment to manage the kinds of stories that compile the news section each week, and I feel so lucky to share that responsibility with Barbara.
Favorite part of the Newsroom: It’s the only place on campus where I can feel both chill and overwhelmed at the same time, and for whatever reason I love that weird in-between space. When I’m there with my fellow staff members, I feel like I’m such a small part of this huge thing, yet at the same time I feel important because it’s a thing that’s so meaningful to me.

Position on the Paper: Assistant Sports Editor
Why you accepted your role with the paper: I love both writing and sports, so my role with the paper allows me to be creative with my writing, while also keeping up with the scores and supporting all of our Bison athletes!
Favorite part of the Newsroom: The newsroom is great because it’s such a fun atmosphere with music and food, and everyone just has a really great time talking and hanging out. We all work really hard on the paper, and we enjoy it so much that it makes production night tons of fun!

Why you accepted your role with the paper: I wanted to become more involved and Barbara Bell suggested I try out doing layout for the Bucknellian!
Favorite part of the Newsroom: Dunkin runs after 3+ hours of working on layout Wednesday nights.

Why you accepted your role with the paper: Taking this position was an exciting opportunity not only for me to work with a great group of people in a large staff, but to further help The Bucknellian be the best student newspaper that it could be.
Favorite part of the Newsroom: Slowly losing our minds during production as the night gets longer and longer.

Why I accepted my role with the paper: I like to sit in basements for 5+ hours. JK I’ve always wanted to get involved with the paper!

Why you accepted your role with the paper: I have always been a very organized yet creative person so I knew that a position as a layout editor was the perfect job for me.
Favorite part of the Newsroom: Definitely the people. I have met many great people since joining the Bucknellian this fall and I only hope to meet more as people come back from studying abroad.

Why you accepted your role with the paper: I love having a role on campus that allows me to interact with so many students, faculty, and staff in a writing-based capacity. I enjoy reporting on news because I get to give a voice to so many organizations and events in the community.
Favorite part of the Newsroom: When Doug’s favorite song comes on at 10 p.m. during production night.

Position on the Paper: Print Presentation Director
Why you accepted your role with the paper: I wanted to better my eye in visual design in a short amount of time. This role actually is like a hardcore bootcamp for print design. I also got 10 times better at using InDesign as part of my workflow.
Favorite part of the Newsroom: The part where Doug gets bullied by his staff late at night and then plays his favorite song. It makes for some hilarious quotes for the semester.

Why you accepted your role: I’ve always liked working on the paper and I wanted to move the section toward focusing more on what was happening on campus and being more in tune with the student body.
Favorite part of the newsroom: The fact that it has A/C, also the general weirdness that occurs around 10 p.m.

Why you accepted your role with the paper: I have always been really interested in web and graphic design and was looking for a way to develop my skills in this area on campus. Luckily enough, I heard that there was an opening for this position and I immediately jumped right on it. Really glad I made that decision and am happy to be a part of the squad.

Favorite part of the Newsroom: The vending machine across the hall.
