The Department of Athletics announced on Nov. 6 that University Director of Athletics and Recreation John Hardt will no longer hold his position beginning Jan. 1, 2018. At that time, he will officially begin serving as Director of Athletics at the University of Richmond. In his 18-year tenure in Lewisburg, Hardt oversaw 27 Division I athletics programs and headed the launch of the Bucknell Athletics Leadership Institute in 2012.
