March for Our Lives, a nation-wide march in protest of gun violence, is being planned for March 24 by student survivors of the school shooting in Parkland, Fl. George Clooney promised to donate $500,000 to the nationwide protest of gun violence. Jeffrey Katzenberg, Oprah Winfrey, and Steven Spielberg all promised to match Clooney’s donation.
Disney-Marvel movie “Black Panther,” which has a majority black cast, instantly became the top-grossing film by a black director, Ryan Coogler, earning an estimated $387 million in its opening weekend.
International:
On Feb. 21, KFC in Britain found itself in its fourth day of a chicken shortage, causing half of its 900 stores to close.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing a growing corruption scandal, as one of his advisors attempted to bribe a judge into dropping a criminal investigation involving the prime minister’s wife.
