Bison women’s tennis team’s victory over Saint Francis

The Bison women’s tennis team proved themselves ready for competition this past Sunday. Despite the previous weeks of COVID-19 restrictions and cancellations, the Bison defeated  St. Francis, 5-2. 

Daniela Bellini ’22 was victorious at the number one singles spot, beating her Red Flash opponent 7-5, 6-4, at number two, Cayla Koch ’21 won 7-5, 6-0 at three, Dax Seidlin ’23 won 5-7, 7-5, 10-3, and at six Laurel Utterback ’24 won by default. 

For the doubles matches, the duo of Koch and Seidlin defeated St. Francis 6-2. Bellini and Tyne Miller ’24 earned their win scoring 7-5. Partners Sofia Ayuso ’21 and Utterback won by default. 

Next Sunday, the Bison will host Patriot League Opponent Lafayette in Williamsport, Pa. The last time the Orange and Blue played Lafayette was in their 2018-2019 season where they earned a 6-1 win over the Leopards.
