Women’s rowing excels in scrimmage

The Bison women’s rowing team continued their tune up for the season with a scrimmage against Lehigh Saturday afternoon on April 3. The Orange and Blue raced very well as they continue to prepare for their season to begin.

The race was a 4×4’ in the format of two sets of 2×4’. This meant that the first four minutes of each set simulated the first half of a 2000m race, while the second four minutes simulated the second half of the 2000m race.

The Bison had four boats racing and each performed well. The Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Eight finished ahead of both Lehigh boats in all the races. Meanwhile, the Third Varsity Eight was neck and neck with the Lehigh 2V8. The Bison’s 4V8 also raced well, earning competitive finishes in all their competitions.

On April 10, the Bison will look to continue their stellar performances with a race against Colgate at home at 4 p.m.
