Playing a one-day, 18-hole event on April 3, the Bison men’s golf team brought home a close 2nd place (287) finish at the Rolling Green Invitational. They were runner-up to the Rhode Island Rams who finished with a team score of 285. The conditions were tough on Saturday with consistent 15 mph winds and some gusts up to 30 mph. Nevertheless, they battled through to beat 11 other teams.

Blake Wisdom ’23 had the best finish for the Bison with an even-par 70 on the day. According to Wisdom, the best part of his weekend was “having my friends by my side, which added an extra level of comfort to my golf game.” Following for the Bison was a pair of 2-over 72s from Jack Gardner ’23 and Chris Tanabe ’21. Along with this, Jason Lohwater ’22 finished with a 3-over 73. Jackson Bussell ’23 finished with a 8-over 78 and 14-over 84 for Josh Holtschlag ’23. With the 6-play count-4 format, Bussell and Holtschlag’s scores didn’t count.

The Bison will travel to Villanova next week for the Wildcat Invitational. This is a two-day tournament from April 12-13 at Radnor Valley Country Club.
