Bison women’s rowing enjoys stellar competition

The Bison women’s rowing team competed against fellow Patriot League opponent, Colgate, on Saturday, April 10 on the Susquehanna River.  The competition was a successful one for the Bison, as they saw several of their lineups win their races. The Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Four both defeated the Raiders and the Varsity Eight won their race by more than 40 seconds.

“It is nice to have such a deep team, especially because it takes more than the varsity eight to win the PLC to qualify for NCAAs. It pushes everyone to keep up because there is always a chance to make the next boat up, but it is nice just knowing that each person on the team  played a role in pushing each other to  build the fastest boats possible,” Casey Miller ’21 said.

The Orange and Blue will look to continue to fine tune in preparation for the Patriot League Championships on May 14. The next opportunity will come on April 17, as the Bison will compete against Delaware at 4 p.m.
