Bison Excel at Bloomsburg Invitational

This past weekend on Sept. 11 and 12 the Bison men’s tennis team proved to be too much for Bloomsburg Invitational opponents from Mercyhurst, Morgan State and Millersville. Michael Owen ’23 and Nick Mueller ’23 both went undefeated in singles play, winning all three of their matches over the course of the weekend. Meanwhile Nicolas Grünig ’25 made impressive strides in his first year collegiate campaign, going 2-1 in singles play.

“The upperclassmen on our team give me a lot of advice, not only in tennis but generally in everyday life,” Grünig said, speaking to the veteran leadership on the team. “Our goal as a team is to win the Patriot League. I’m convinced that we have a good chance this year because our team has a lot of quality and everybody is willing to give their absolute best.”

The road to a Patriot League title continues next weekend at the Binghamton Invitational in Vestal, N.Y.
