Men’s Lacrosse on a two-win streak

In another two-goal game, the Bison came out on top against Robert Morris, 14-12. The Bison had five players register at least three points, en route to a victory over the Colonials. 

Throughout the game, Connor Davis ’25 proved his previous impressive performances no fluke. Coming off a six goal game, he had a five-point performance with four goals and one assist. Fellow first-year standout Cam Doolan ’25 registered his first three collegiate goals, all within the first quarter. 

The Orange and Blue came out with a strong 5-1 start in the first quarter. By the 13:52 mark in the second quarter, Robert Morris was able to chip away at the gap, whittling it down to 6-5. The Orange and Blue responded with a three-goal run, allowing themselves a three-goal lead by halftime. 

Robert Morris came out firing in the third quarter. They scored four of the first five goals, evening out the score between the two competitors. Thankfully, Davis and Dutch Furlong ’24 each found the back of the net in the final two minutes of the frame to give the Orange and Blue back its lead, at 13-11. Richie Striano ’24 notched the final goal and the insurance tally to make the final score 14-12. 

Furlong, Alston Tarry ’22 and Danny Striano ’23 rounded out the group notching at least three points on the game. Travis Talarico ’22 led the way with five ground balls and two caused turnovers. Nick Crovatto ’22 and Conor McCusker ’23 again split time in the faceoff, combining for 12 wins. Crovatto also netted his first career goal off of a faceoff win with 4:47 remaining in the first quarter. 

The Orange and Blue next hosts St. John’s for its home opener on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 12:30 p.m.
