Bison men’s lacrosse recorded another big Patriot League win this past Friday, April 22 against the Lafayette Leopards. Four different Bison had five-plus point performances in Friday night’s game to secure the victory.

Senior Harry Wellford was key for the Orange and Blue, recording five goals and one assist. Likewise, first-year Connor Davis ’25 was back in full swing for the Bison with five goals and one assist, after missing a few games due to injury. Dutch Furlong ’24 continued his strong sophomore campaign, tallying three goals and two assists. Jack Feda ’23 was crucial as well, adding two goals and three assists of his own.

Davis earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week accolades for the sixth time this season after Friday night’s game. Davis now has 43 goals on the season, putting him at fifth in school history for goals in a single season. Furlong isn’t far behind, with only a three-goal performance between him and the single-season top-10 list.

The score was close heading into the third quarter of the game, and the Leopards were able to even the score at 9-9 following a quick three-goal bout. However, the Bison bit back with a four-goal run and held the advantage for the remainder of the game.

Friday was also senior night for the Orange and Blue. Men’s lacrosse honored their 12 seniors, Matt Barkauskas, Travis Talarico, Nick Crovatto, Alston Tarry, Drew Wellington, Harry Wellford, Frankie Higgins, Reid Delanois, Jared Hodell, Brenden Lundy, Zach Tucker and Jack Van Slyke.

Tarry and Crovatto had especially strong outings for their senior day. Tarry has a total of 136 career points following a two goal and one assist performance against Lafayette, putting him only seven points away from being on the Bison’s career top-10 list. Crovatto won 19 of 32 faceoffs against the Leopards and grabbed eight ground balls. Crovatto now holds the third in faceoff wins in a season with 155. He also has 159 ground balls, which sits at sixth in program history.

The Bison clinched a spot in the Patriot League tournament with their win over Lafayette. The Orange and Blue close out regular season play against Navy on Friday, April 29, and await a seeding in the PL tournament based on their game outcome, and others around the league.
