The Bison traveled to Central Michigan University for their match this past weekend. This Bison held Central Michigan off and the game remained scoreless throughout the first quarter. In the last five minutes of the second quarter, the Chippewas scored a touchdown and continued on this fiery streak for the rest of the game.

Bucknell came close to putting points on the board in a 10-play, 42-yard drive but fell short of the mark.

Safety Brent Jackson ’23 matched his career high with 12 tackles and two pass breakups. Rushawn Baker ’25 made a team high by running thirty-one yards on eight attempts. Alex Smith Jr. ’25 had an interception and Gavin Pringle ’23 made five tackles and three pass break ups.

“It was a good game in the first half,” Pringle said. “We held our own against a team that no one thought we could compete with. As a team we have a lot to work on and we will use this week to prepare ourselves for league play.”

The Orange and Blue will play in their first Patriot League game of the season on October 1 at their home turf. You can stream the live stats off of the Bucknell Bison Football page and watch the game remotely on ESPN+.
