The Bison men’s golf team traveled to Glen Cove, N.Y., for their last tournament of the season this past weekend.

Hosted by Long Island University at Nassau Country Club, the three day tournament featured 10 teams including St. Johns, Army, Long Island, Robert Morris, Hofstra, Le Moyne, La Salle, Merrimack, Manhattan and Bucknell.

Bucknell started strong after the first two rounds in a steady third place position and were able to stay consistent with this placement in their last round, finishing out the weekend with a 5-over 285 round.

The Bison leaders were Blake Wisdom ’23 and James Robbins ’26, both finishing with a 1-under par final round. Wisdom finished the weekend with a total of 5-over par where he claimed fifth place out of the 57 players that competed. Not far behind was Robbins, with a weekend total of 7-over par as he was the final Bucknell player in the top 10 with a solo finish in ninth.

Following Robbins was sophomore Michael Rudnick with an 8-over finish tying for 11th place. Josh Holtschlag ’23 and Andres Barraza ’26 had weekend scores of 15-over par and 18-over par, respectively. James Key ’26, the Bison’s individual over the weekend, finished with a strong final round of 75, finishing the tournament 12-over par.

Overall, the men’s golf team has had a strong fall season with competitive first-years joining the team, showing promise in the future. The Bison have the remainder of the fall off-season and the beginning of the spring season to prepare for their first tournament in February, hosted by Loyola in Goodyear, Ariz., at Palm Valley Golf Club.
