Bucknell Cross Country closes season with strong finish at Mid-Atlantic Regional

The Bucknell Men and Women’s Cross Country Team competed at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship on Friday. 

The men’s team placed twenty-third, with Sam Whittaker ‘23 at the head, placing 12 out of 181 runners. Whittaker completed the 10k course with the time of 30:39.5. 

Also finishing in a top 100 spot was teammate Bobby Lynam ‘25 (sixty-third, 31:39.4). This was Lynam’s first showing in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Meet. Also scoring for the Bison were Henry Didden ‘26 (106, 32:24.4), Noah Martin ‘23 (108, 32:27.2), and Ben Santos ‘25 (110, 32:27.8). 

On the women’s side, the team placed twelfth overall, led by Mia Bellucci ‘23 and Keely Misutka ‘25. 

Bellucci finished sixty-third (22:01.1) with teammate Mistuka close behind (sixty-sixth, 22:05.7). Caryn Rippey ‘26 (seventy-fifth, 22:11.4), Ally Clarke ‘24 (seventy-eighth, 22:15.6) and Abby Paczewski ‘24 (eighty-first, 22:19.6) also earned scoring positions for the Bison. 

“This was a really good weekend for the team after a disappointing league meet,” Clarke said. “We had a strong pack and were excited to place above our seed and beat Lehigh. We’re happy to be ending the season on a high note, now it’s time for some much needed rest before the indoor season.”
