Women’s Swimming and Diving finishes strong at Bison Invite

The Bison hosted their home invite over the weekend where they competed against schools including Lehigh, American, Lafayette, Shippensburg and Navy.  They posted 10 wins on the weekend; five events placing in the top three. 

Abby Doss ’24 led the weekend with a top-10 finish. Her swim in the 200 freestyle was the seventh-best time in school history with two of her teammates placing as well. 

Along with the 200 freestyle was the 200 IM, which was another successful race for the Bison, as they took the top three finishes. Doss finished first with a 2:04.20, Caroline McGann ’24 finished in second with 2:06.08 and in third was Sabrina Vumbacco ’23 with a time of 2:06.56. 

Another sweep for the Bison was the 100 breaststroke. Hannah Bingley ’26 took first with a time of 1:05.12, her teammate Grace Kujawski ’24 finished second with a time of 1:05.62 and Esme Hunter ’24 took third with a time of 1:05.67. 

The 100 butterfly race also had a similar outcome with a first, second and third sweep from Sarah Culkin ’25, Vumbacco, and Jennifer Bolden ’26 with times of 56.44, 56.51 and 56.87 respectively. 

The Orange and Blue will host the Patriot League Championships at Kinney Natatorium Feb. 15, 16 and 17.
