Women’s Tennis on the up and up

The Bison competed against both George Washington University and Washington and Lee this past weekend. 

To start off the weekend versus George Washington, Tyne Miller ’24 brought home her first spring win against her opponent with a 6-3, 6-3 decision. Miller and her teammate Anna Lajos ’25 were also leading their No. 2 doubles match but ultimately fell to the Colonials 1-0.

The Bison ultimately fell to the Colonials 1-6.

With their second match of the weekend, the Bison were able to bring home a 6-3 win over Washington and Lee, playing best-of-nine with two doubles wins and four singles wins. 

Miller continued her winnings over the weekend with another singles win over the Generals as well as a doubles win with her teammate Anna Lajos. 

Following them was teammate Abby Platt ’26 with a win of her own. She then proceeded to team up with Whitney King ’25 to win in the top doubles position. 

Mirra Manolov ’26 and Caroline Marcus ’25 secured singles points to add to the team score by securing wins in the No. 5 and No. 6 singles spots, respectively.

The Bison will next travel to Olean, N.Y. where they’ll compete against St. Bonaventure on Saturday, Feb. 18.
