Bison Women’s Lacrosse hosted their second home game of the season this past weekend against St. Bonaventure. The Orange and Blue dominated the Bonnies in all four quarters, leading them to a 22-6 victory. Now on a three-game win streak, the Bison have bettered their record to 3-2.

The Bison came out fired up, scoring a quick eight goals in the first quarter alone. First-year attacker Alex Nesbitt ’26 helped set the tone early on by assisting on the first two goals. The Orange and Blue kept up the scoring in the second quarter, putting up six more goals. Carly Cenci ’25 added the final Bison goal of the quarter, leading them 14-3 into the half.

Following the break, the Bison maintained the energy. The team scored four more times in the third quarter, as Allie Boyce ’25 recorded her seventh goal of the match, tying her career high. Four different Bison recorded points in the fourth quarter, tallying 12 different scorers throughout the match. The Orange and Blue finished with a 22-6 victory.

There was much to be proud of in this Bison victory. To start, the 22 goals scored against the Bonnies were the most in the team’s past four seasons. Not only were there a double-digit number of goal scorers, but 15 players received at least one point during the match. Many of these points were some players’ first, marking an incredible milestone in their career.

“We had an incredible full team performance this weekend,” Boyce said. “It is really exciting to see the team begin to click, especially being only one game away from Patriot League play. Our biggest team goal this year is to make the Patriot League playoffs, so those wins are going to be very important.”

The Bison look to keep building the momentum in their final game before Patriot League play. The team will travel to Mount St. Mary’s on Saturday, March 11. in a 3 p.m. face-off. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
