Bucknell Men’s Track and Field hosted the Bison Outdoor Classic this past weekend. 

Samuel Whittaker ’23 competed in the 1500 meter race, earning seventh place with a 3:45.48 time and putting him fifth in program history. 

Franco Perinotti ’23 placed sixth in the pole vault event (15-7), a tenth place height in school history. 

In the 10,000 meter race, Domenic Campagna ’23 earned fourth place with a 31:05.89 tine, less than a second behind the first place runner. 

In the discus event, Braden Stryker ’25 earned seventh with a 157-0 feet mark. 

Miguel Negrete ’24 placed 11th in the decathlon (5012 points). 

Robert Feeney ’23 earned silver in the hammer throw with a 189-8 feet mark, putting him at sixth in Bucknell history. 

In the 400 meter race, Ethan Wolford-Tuffy ’24 ran in 48.15, placing seventh. 

Tristan An ’25 took sixth (6-6) in the high jump. 

Two groups competed in the 4×400 and earned top ten finishes. Sam Coughlin ’25, Matthew Perello ’24, Perinotti and Brayden Young ’26 took eighth place (3:18.44). Zachary Jelinek ’26, Colby Belczyk ’25, Alex Simpson ’24 and Seth Hoffritz ’23 finished close behind (3:19.48). 

Chris Sims ’25 competed in the triple jump to earn tenth place with a 45-10 mark. 

“Overall, I think the team did pretty well,” Jack Calisi ’23 said. “It was definitely a long weekend with some ups and downs, but we had some great performances in a very competitive meet. I think everyone is excited to get back out there for another home meet this weekend!”

This upcoming weekend, the team will compete in the Bucknell Team Challenge.
