Bison Women’s Track and Field hosted the Bison Outdoor Classic April 14-16.

Starting the weekend, Mia Bellucci ’23, with a time of 16:51.14, took fifth place in the 5000-meter run. This earned Bellucci a spot in Bucknell’s record books for fifth best for this event.

First-year Lauren Joyce earned fifth in the 10,000-meter run (39:14.61), having a great showing during her rookie season.

Abby Eisold ’24, with 4,302 points, grabbed sixth place in the heptathlon.

Closing out the day, Caryn Rippey ’26 placed 17th in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:30.50.

This success was just the beginning of an incredible weekend.

Sophomore Katherine Loew, Senior Jessie Castellano, Junior Meghan Quinn and Senior Bridget Lalonde swept on the second day of the outdoor classic. This foursome crushed the 4×400-meter relay with a time of 3:41.21. This earned the first-place title by nine seconds, but more importantly, broke the previous Bison school record that they had set earlier this season by a full second and a half.

Another quartet left us speechless on the second day. Lalonde and Quinn were joined by Juniors Lila Gaughan and Karen Hull for the 4×100-meter relay. Pulling out of the race with a time of 46.38, these four earned third place and broke the previous school record by three-tenths of a second.

Additionally, Abby Paczewski ’24, Lauren Shaffer ’26, Eva Lindner ’24 and Rippey placed eighth in the 4×800-meter relay with a time of 9:23.23.

Castellano went on to win the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.91, leaving her competition behind by more than a half second and earning the second-best time in Bucknell history. Lalonde trailed slightly behind in the same event with a time of 55.91.

Quinn clinched second in the 200-meter dash (23.86).

Laura Sakol ’24 (5:20.01), Shaffer (5:29.16), Asta Rustad ’23 (5:34.17), Tori Chace ’26 (5:37.14) and Aidan Smith ’26 (5:38.35) all placed in the top ten of the mile run placing between second and eighth.

Hull placed seventh in the 100-Meter Hurdles (14.60) and led the pack in fourth place in the high jump Event (5-6). Olivia Boyce ’24 (5-4 ¼ ) placed sixth and Abby Kates ’24 placed eighth (5-4 ¼ ) in the high jump.

Karly Renn ’25 cleared 11-11 ¾ in the pole vault, earning second place.

Brylee Tereska ’26 also earned second place (144-9) in the javelin throw, placing her eighth in Bucknell history. Riley Beebe ’23 followed behind in fifth place with a toss of 139-7.

For the hammer throw, Madison McGloin ’24 placed seventh (159-1) and Annie Glenning ’24 placed ninth (157-2).

Siobhan O’Sullivan ’24 closed out the weekend by clinching ninth in the shot put with a toss of 44-4 ¾.

This was a great and impressive weekend for the Women’s Track and Field team. These Bison will compete next at the Bucknell Team Challenge in the upcoming week.
