This past Saturday, the Orange and Blue took on league opponent American in their Senior Day matchup. The game took place at 1 p.m. on our very own Graham Field at Holmes Stadium. This game proved to be historic for the Bison. They defeated the Eagles 20-11, and Allie Boyce ’25 tied a school record for the most goals in a game.

Boyce scored 10 out of 20 goals, 50 percent of that balls that hit the back of the net for Bucknell. She is only the second player in Bucknell history to reach double digit-goals in one game, tying a Sue Gray record from 1984. Seven of Boyce’s goals came in the first half, and she went into the game with the second-highest shooting percentage in the NCAA. Against the Eagles, she was 10 for 10.

The first quarter went back-and-forth between the teams, but the Orange and Blue quickly dominated. The Eagles never came closer than within six goals of tying.

The Bison dominated, outshooting the Eagles 37-25 and putting 27 on goal. Other than Boyce, two crucial players were Caroline Miller ’23 who earned four points with goals and assists, and Tatumn Kohlbrenner ’24, who had a goal, three assists, three ground balls and two turnovers.

Other points came from Megan Krestinski ’26, Caroline Sheridan ’26, Taylor Kopan ’24 and Taylor McClain ’25. Senior Symone Ryans had nine saves on the game, and her fellow senior Ella Payer had a season-high 11 draw controls. Only two other players in Bison history have reached 11 draw controls.

These two seniors, as well as seniors Lauren Rader, Caitlin McHale, Jamie Tsao and Miller were celebrated prior to the game for their contributions to the Women’s Lacrosse program.

“As seniors we’ve worked really hard to build our program on and off the field, and it was awesome to see it come together with a big team win against American on our senior day!” Rader said.

Next, the Bison take on Loyola and Boston University in Patriot League matchups. After these two competitions, the Orange and Blue just have one more against Holy Cross until the Patriot League Championships.
