Women’s Tennis continues league win streak

Bucknell Women’s Tennis beat league competitor Lafayette with a score of 6-1 this past weekend. 

Tyne Miller ’24 and Kate Novak ’24 beat their respective opponents, both coming back after the first set. Miller ended with a score of  4-6, 6-0, 10-5 and Novak with 4-6, 7-5, 10-5. 

Teammates Whitney King ’25, Abby Platt ’26 and Caroline Marcus ’25 won their matches during the singles competition as well. King and Platt joined to compete in the doubles matches, securing a win against Lafayette’s top pair. Platt leads the team in doubles wins (19-7). 

Miller and Anna Lajos ’25 won their match with a 6-3 score, as did Marcus and Madi Sebulsky ’24. “For our last regular season match, we pulled out a 6-1 win over Lafayette this past weekend,” Platt said. “It was a great way to end the season, but we have much more to look forward to in the Patriot League Championships this coming weekend!” 

Nearing the end of their season, the Bison have a winning record of 4-3 in the Patriot League, and are on a three-game win streak. The team looks to compete at the Patriot League Tournament beginning on April 27.
